Shah International was formed in 1997 by Shah Md. Farid as an export firm. Today it has 6 divisions, namely Export, Import, Ethnic Lifestyle Products (formerly known as Ethnic Collection), Consultancy, E-Learning/Content Development and Trade Promotion. It caters to markets in Europe (Germany,Switzerland) and South East Asia (Thailand, Myanmar, China) and Mauritius.
Our vision is to make the North East India a hub in the world map of international trade. We work by creating long lasting partnerships with companies across the world and provide all trading related support to them.
Shah International is headed by Shah Md. Farid as the director, who is supported by a qualified and experienced team that looks after individual divisions.
Farid completed his high school education at St. Peters’, Shillong, India, one of the best boarding schools in the country.
He is an Economics graduate with a Management degree in International Trade from St. Xavier’s Institute of Management (XIM), Mumbai, India. He started his career as an Export Executive with an Export Star Trading house in Mumbai. Here, he gained valuable experience in client management, financial dealings and in crisis management while dealing with clients from Europe.
Farid calls himself ‘a soldier of fortune’ and believes in knowing one’s strengths and weaknesses before embarking on a project. Quality in service is the motto of all his ventures. He is in his own words, a ‘realistic entrepreneur’. |
